Biography
Mikhail Nikolaevich Vetchinkin was born on May 23, 1902 in Kursk . In 1920 he graduated from a unified labor school, after which he worked as an instructor in sports and pre-conscription training in the Timsky district of the Kursk garrison. In 1922 - 1924 he served in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army . Demobilized, he worked in the prosecutor’s office in Kursk. In 1935 he graduated from the evening department of the Voronezh Veterinary Institute, after which he was sent to work as a senior livestock specialist at a state farm in the Vinnitsa region. Since 1937 he began to teach at the department of breeding farm animals of the same institute, where he had previously studied [1] .
During the Great Patriotic War, he actively participated in organizing the evacuation of cattle and agricultural property, worked as a senior livestock specialist at a state farm near Moscow. Since March 1947, he worked as the director of the Karavaevo tribal state farm in the Kostroma region of the Kostroma region [1] .
In 1948, the Karavaevo state farm showed high productivity — an average of 6,528 kilograms of milk was received from each cow [1] .
By the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the USSR of July 12, 1949 “in accordance with the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the USSR of September 16, 1947 for obtaining high livestock productivity in 1948 when the state farm fulfilled the plan of delivering livestock and field products to the state and fulfilling the state plan for the development of livestock for all livestock species ”Mikhail Nikolaevich Vetchinkin was awarded the high title of Hero of Socialist Labor with the awarding of the Order of Lenin and the Hammer and Sickle medal . In addition to him, by the same Decree, the title of Hero of Socialist Labor was awarded to another twenty employees of the state farm [1] .
In 1960, Vetchinkin retired. He died on December 19, 1962, was buried in the village of Poddubnoye, Kostroma region, Kostroma region [1] .
He was awarded four orders of Lenin, the Order of the Badge of Honor and a number of medals [1] .
