Biography
He graduated from the Law Faculty of the University of Turku [1] and in 1993 received a master 's degree in international and comparative law from the University of Brussels .
Since 1995 he worked as an assistant in the structure of the European Parliament and since 1998 as a representative from Finland. He later served as adviser to the Prime Minister Paavo Lipponen .
In 2002, he joined the Finnish Security Police , where until 2005 he worked in counterintelligence , and from 2007 to 2011 he headed the department. At the same time he was the head of the department of legal supervision and dissemination of information in the Parliament of Finland .
In February 2011, he was appointed director of the Intelligence and Situation Center of the Diplomatic Service of the European Union [2] .
From January 1, 2016 he was appointed to a permanent leadership position in the security structures of the European Union [3] .
