Magerramov, Amil Mamedali oglu

Amil Mammadali oglu Magerramov was born on December 24, 1974 in Azerbaijan, in the city of Baku . In 1981-1991 he studied in high school number 54.

In 1996 he graduated from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Psychology of Baku State University with a degree in economics with a red diploma, in 1996-2000 he studied in graduate school in the specialty 08.00.01. - "Economic theory".

He began his career in December 1995 as a chief laboratory assistant at the Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.

Since 1999, he worked as an hourly lecturer at the Department of International Economic Relations and Management, starting in 2000 as a substitute lecturer for half the staff and in 2012 he moved to the position of senior lecturer with full staff.

Since 2002, he worked as Deputy Dean for Education at the Faculty of International Relations and International Law.

In 2006, he received the academic title of associate professor and from the same year he headed the position of Acting Professor. head of the department "The organization of customs and management" and continued research and teaching activities as an assistant professor.

In 2011 he was elected to the post of head of the department "Economics and Management". Since 2015, he is a professor at this department.

Scientific degrees and titles

1. Candidate of Economic Sciences. In 2001, he defended his thesis on the topic “Development of small and medium-sized businesses in Azerbaijan” and received a PhD degree in economics. [Specialty: 08.00.01- Economic Theory].

2. Doctor of Economics. In 2010, he defended his thesis on the theme “Formation of customs policy and prospects for the development of Azerbaijan in integration into the world economy in the context of globalization”, received a doctorate in economics. [Specialty: 08.00.05-Economics and National Economy Management].

3. Docent - DS diploma №02471. 2006. Decision of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of Azerbaijan (protocol No. 11-R 04.04.2006).

Foreign economic activity - regulation of foreign economic activity in a market economy, ensuring economic security and protection of national interests, choosing and applying rational methods, forms and means in building foreign economic relations, studying problems related to the place, role and functions of the state in regulating foreign economic activity, especially international trade in the period of the emergence of economic science and in the modern period, its theoretical end tion, foreign trade policy, mechanism of regulation of foreign trade operations, system of customs payments, customs tariff as a general form of customs duties and taxes, features of currency relations and monetary policy in foreign economic activity, documentation in foreign economic activity, economic security and mechanisms to ensure it, the current state of foreign trade operations in Azerbaijan and development trends, non-tariff regulation of foreign economic activity.

• Theoretical and practical problems of the formation and development of customs policy (in the practice of the Republic of Azerbaijan) . Monograph, Baku, 2009, 31 pp The monograph examines the history of customs policy formation, its nature and characteristics, problems of interconnection and economic cooperation in the context of globalization, the main features of the customs tariff and non-tariff policies, their practice and development prospects, the formation of customs policy at the universal level, the impact of international treaties implementation of customs policy, the role of the World Trade Organization and the International Customs Organization on the formation of customs policy, regulation of customs policy at the regional level, the differences between the formation of customs policy in Azerbaijan and the European region and the CIS. Analysis of these issues in local and international practice was carried out based on the use of local and world economic literature. Additionally, the monograph examined the characteristics of the formation of the customs policy of Azerbaijan in the framework of bilateral treaties and international organizations (GUAM, BSEC and the Organization of the Islamic Conference)
• Entrepreneurship: from theory to practice . Monograph, Baku, 2009, 22.5 pp The monograph analyzes the stages of business development, theoretical and practical issues of regulating relevant activities, the formation of the legal and economic framework, the role of entrepreneurship in the economy of Azerbaijan at a new level of development and issues of its impact on economic development. All this is analyzed on the basis of domestic laws and international practice. The monograph also additionally included laws, decrees and orders of the Republic of Azerbaijan and statistical data on entrepreneurship.
• Foreign economic relations of Azerbaijan: achievements and prospects . Monograph, Baku, 2015, 20.5 pp The monograph consists of 9 chapters. It is devoted to a broad analysis of various areas of foreign economic relations of Azerbaijan - foreign trade, currency relations, activities of joint and foreign enterprises, international cooperation in science and education, tourism relations, government regulation of foreign economic relations and other issues. The historical aspects of building foreign trade relations of Azerbaijan are also analyzed in chronological order. The book also from a theoretical point of view analyzes global problems and the essence of the globalization process. The issues of the influence of Azerbaijan’s participation in the globalization process on the economic security of the country are determined.
• Modern banking system and banking . Monograph, Baku, 2015, 48 pp The monograph reflected the formation of the concept of a bank, its historical genesis, the economic basis for the formation of banks and the primary financial conditions for operations, and different approaches to the essence of banks. In addition, modern forms of the banking system, the role of banks in shaping the financial and credit system, the role of the Central Bank in the economic activities of the state, and the legal and economic fundamentals of commercial banks were analyzed. The second part of the monograph is devoted to banking operations, the essence of cash payments and its modern forms, a general description of intermediary services in banks. In another part, the issues of banking liquidity, auditing activities in the banking sector, accounting and reporting issues were investigated. In the last section, the banking system of Azerbaijan and its features, the role of the banking system in regulating and improving the country's macroeconomics were analyzed. The monograph also additionally included laws, decrees and orders adopted in Azerbaijan in this area. Also, issues of strengthening banking activities in the country, enhancing the research base, strategy and regulatory mechanisms, as well as the activities of relevant structures were widely covered.
