Sports Biography

Amina Ruba won her first award in 2007, becoming, together with Hafida Shaush, the silver medalist of the 2007 All-Africa Games in the lightweight doubles pair competition. Just a few days after her success at the Games in Algeria, Rouba performed at the Youth World Championships in Glasgow. Algerian rower competed in the lightweight singles competition. As a result of preliminary races, Ruba got the right to perform in the final of C, where she confidently won and took the final 13th place. The 2011 season was quite successful for the Algerian athlete. At the World Cup II stage in Hamburg, Amina was able to break into final A, where she became 5th. In the same year, Ruba successfully performed at the World Cup . As a result of the comforting race, Amina received the right to speak in the semifinals of the competition for lightweight singles. Having taken the last place in his swim, Ruba reached the final of B, where she managed to overtake the athlete from Hong Kong, and took the final 11th place.

In 2012, Ruba took part in the London Summer Olympics , where an Algerian athlete made her way through the African qualification. According to the results of preliminary rounds in the singles competition, Amina got the right to speak in the final E, where she lost only to the Kazakh athlete Svetlana Germanovich . In 2013, Ruba was close to winning the medal of the Mediterranean Games , but in the final of the singles competition, Amin showed the 4th result. At the 2014 World Cup, Amina was again able to make it to final B, but she was only 6th there. In October 2015, Ruba took second place in the singles competition following the results of the African qualification . This result allowed the Algerian athlete to obtain a registered license to participate in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro .
