Carl Winston Lambly ( born Carl Winston Lumbly , born August 14, 1951 , Minneapolis ) [1] is an American theater, television and film actor. Best known for her role as Marcus Petrie in the CBS television series Kagney and Lacy and Marcus Dixon in the television series ABC Spy . In addition, he voiced the Martian hunter in the animated series Justice League and related shows [2] .

Early life and education
Carl Lambly was born into a Jamaican immigrant family in Minneapolis , Minnesota . He graduated from Southern High School and Mcalester College in St. Paul , Minnesota.
Lambly began his professional career as a journalist in Minnesota. When he wrote the story about the theater-workshop, he was taken to an improvisation company in which he worked for two years with then-unknown Danny Glover .
Personal life
Lambly was married to actress Wonette McGee from 1987 until her death in 2010. They have a son Brandon Lambly, born in 1988.
