Frélan ( fr. Fréland ) is a commune in the northeast of France in the Grand Est region [1] (former Alsace - Champagne - Ardenne - Lorraine ), department of the Upper Rhine , district Colmar - Ribauville , canton of Saint-Marie-o-Min [ 2] . Until March 2015, the commune was administratively part of the abolished canton of Laputrois ( Riboville district).

Economics
In 2010, out of 841 people of working age (15 to 64 years old), 651 were economically active , 190 inactive (activity indicator 77.4%, in 1999 - 72.8%). Of 651 active able-bodied residents, 625 people worked (336 men and 289 women), 26 were unemployed (14 men and 12 women). Among 190 able-bodied inactive citizens, 52 were pupils or students , 91 were pensioners , and another 47 were inactive due to other reasons [8] [9] .
