Biography
Peter Kharitonovich was born in 1927 in Western Ukraine . After graduating from school, he went to work on a collective farm, from where he was drafted into the army in 1944. He participated in the Great Patriotic War. In 1951, he was discharged and arrived at work in the Primorsky Territory, in the city of Suchan (now Partizansk), transferring conveyors to section No. 6 of mine No. 26 (in the village of North Suchan , now Uglekamensk). In less than 7 months, he became the foreman of the conveyor transporters, his team became one of the best in the mine.
After some time, he moved to the bulk pickers brigade, and soon there he became the foreman. For fulfilling the seven-year plan 7 months ahead of schedule and overfulfilling the plan for 27,270 tons of coal, Pyotr Kharitonovich was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor in July 1966 with the award of the Sickle and Hammer medal and the Order of Lenin .
He was also a full holder of the Miner Glory badge, and was elected as a deputy of the Partisan City Council.
He died in 1979. He was buried in the cemetery of Uglekamensk.
