Burnot-le-Bas ( fr. Burnhaupt-le-Bas ) - a commune in the north-east of France in the Grand Est region [1] (former Alsace - Champagne - Ardenne - Lorraine ), department of the Upper Rhine , district Tan - Gebwiller , canton Masvo [2] . Until March 2015, the commune was administratively part of the canton of Serne ( Tan County).

Economics
In 2010, out of 1214 people of working age (from 15 to 64 years), 960 were economically active , 254 inactive (activity indicator 79.1%, in 1999 - 76.1%). Of the 960 active able-bodied residents, 920 people worked (491 men and 429 women), 40 were unemployed (15 men and 25 women). Among 254 able-bodied inactive citizens, 87 were pupils or students , 101 were pensioners , and another 66 were inactive for other reasons [8] [9] .
