The curling tournament at the Winter Universiade 2009 was held from February 18 to 28 in the Chinese city of Harbin . Curlingists (both men and women) won the Universiade awards for the 3rd time in history. All matches of the tournament were held at the Heilongjiang Skating Gym arena.

Event Format
First, all teams participate in the group stage, in which each team will play once with each. The four best teams go through to the semifinals of the playoffs , the winners of which will play in the final, and the losers in the match for third place.
