About the collection
The release of the collection was timed to a decade since Savage Garden appeared in the music industry. Despite the release of only two albums - Savage Garden and Affirmation - and the collapse in 2001 , the team was a great success around the world. [2]
The release was originally scheduled for 2003; the tracklist included 13 singles (the exception was “Chained to You”) and two bonuses - “All Around Me” and “I Don't Care”. In 2005, Darren Haze and Columbia Records joined forces to produce a disc. Group guitarist Daniel Jones refused to take part in the work on the compilation.
Truly Madly Competely includes 10 singles and 5 B-sides of Savage Garden, as well as 2 new solo compositions by Hayes, “California” and “So Beautiful”, which was released as a single in support of the compilation [3] . The DVD, included in the special edition of the compilation for Australia and Japan , contains video clips of the group and the documentary “Parallel Lives”. [four]
The album cover was made in four colors and is a redesigned cover of Savage Garden 's debut album.
