Belsky district is an administrative unit within the Sedletskaya province of the Russian Empire , which existed from 1867 to 1919 . The administrative center is the city of Bela .

Content
History
The district was formed in 1867 as part of the Sedletskaya province of the Russian Empire . In 1919, it was transformed into the Bialsky County of the Lublin Voivodeship of Poland .
Population
According to the census of 1897, the population of the county was 98,691 people, including 10,471 inhabitants in the town of Bela [1] .
National composition
National composition according to the 1897 census [2] :
- Ukrainians (Little Russians) - 29,202 people. (38.1%),
- Poles - 25,978 people. (33.9%),
- Jews - 16,662 people (21.7%),
- Russians - 4297 people (5.6%),
