History

Trolleybuses on Kirov Avenue in Simferopol. year 2013.

Trolleybus Bogdan Т601.11 of the 3rd city route in Simferopol

In 1958, the government of the Ukrainian SSR in Kiev decided to build a long-distance mountain trolleybus line Simferopol - Alushta - Yalta , while the Simferopol executive committee made proposals for the organization of urban trolleybus routes, since the tram system clearly could not cope with transportation in a dynamically growing city.

On September 12, 1959, a trial run-in of the contact network in Simferopol began, and on October 7, regular traffic was opened on the 8.5 km long railway line Zheleznodorozhny Train Station - Maryino. There were 9 domestic-made MTB-82 trolleybuses operating on the route. The first trolleybus drivers were trained in Sevastopol , where for 9 years the trolleybus movement had been operating and there was a training center for training drivers. On November 6, 1959, the movement of trolleybuses on the intercity line Simferopol - Alushta was inaugurated. The first trolleybuses on this line worked with tour guides.

In 1961, in connection with the closure of the tram traffic along Kirov Avenue, a new trolleybus line from pl. Soviet to the Central Market, and trolleybus routes No. 4 Maryino - Central Market and No. 5 Central Market - pl. Moscow.

In 1962, the opening of the trolleybus line on the street. Sevastopol to Novoromanovka with a branch to the Zavodskoye airport. Route No. 5 was extended to Novoromanovka, and route No. 5A was launched at Zavodskoye Airport from the same Moskovskaya Square.

In 1964, the opening of a new trolleybus line from pl. Kuibyshev along Victory Avenue in a remote residential district of Freedom, launched route number 3 Freedom - Central Market.

In 1966, a line was put into operation along the Evpatoria highway to the village of Aeroflot, where at that time the airport was located, through the village of state district power station. Connections with this are opened from routes No. 8 Central Market - State District Power Station, No. 9 Aeroflotsky - Railway Station, No. 14 Aeroflotsky - Alushta, No. 15 Aeroflotsky - Yalta.

In 1968, the line opens from pl. Moscow on the street Kecskemetskaya to Victory Avenue, introduced a new trolleybus route number 7 Freedom - Center. In November 1968, in connection with the termination of tram traffic on route No. 2, a trolleybus line was opened along Lermontov and Kuibyshev streets, a new route No. 10, Central Market - ul. Arabat.

In 1971, after the closure of the tram traffic in Simferopol , the Central Trolley Repair Shops opened in the territory of the tram park.

In the mid-1970s, the successful Kiev experience was adopted in Simferopol - trains from two Škoda 9Tr trolleybuses connected via the system of many units of Vladimir Veklich appeared on the streets of the city. In total, at least 5 such trains were operated.

In 1980, due to the congested trolleybus routes, peak shortened routes with the prefix “A” began to be introduced.

In 1981, a new trolleybus line to the 7th city hospital was opened, along the streets of Kozlov, Russkaya, 60 years of October, and the trolleybus route No. 12, the 7th city hospital, the Central Market, was launched.

In October 1983, a new trolleybus fleet No. 2 was commissioned, which allowed the production of more than 200 units of rolling stock on city routes. To the new trolleybus fleet a line was launched along the street. Glinka and new routes number 13 st. Glinka - pl. Sovetskaya, number 13A st. Glinka - Bus Station, No. 14 st. Glinka - pl. Kuibyshev.

In 1987, a single-track trolleybus line was launched in the city center along the streets of Zhelyabov and Gogol - it was she who was destined to become the last to be launched during the Soviet Union. On the new line routes No. 8 and 11 were sent.

In 1990, 6 Škoda 15Tr trolleybuses arrived in Simferopol. They became the first articulated trolleybuses in the city.

In 1992, in connection with the formation of the Amet-Khan Sultan Square near the Central Market, traffic on ul. Subhi - trolleybus routes that followed on the street. Sevastopol, went around by the new square and on the street. Kozlova. The trolleybus U-turn was moved to the same area from Sportivnaya Square between the Central Market and the Lokomotiv Stadium, and the control center was soon liquidated.

In 1993-1995, 8 articulated UMZ-T1 Ukrainian-made trolleybuses arrived in Simferopol.

In 1994, the Pnevmatika plant donated 3 articulated Russian-made trolley buses ZiU-620501 to Simferopol.

In 1999, traffic on Sq. Sportivnaya - a U-turn at the Central Market was arranged on Sq. Amet Khan of the Sultan, and in both directions.

In 2002, the line opens from the street. Russian to a large remote micro-district near the Pneumatic plant - it was she who became the first trolleybus line built under independent Ukraine. The trolleybus route No. 15 Balaklava Market - Central Market was launched along the new line.

In 2004, trolleybuses went to the Zagorodny microdistrict - today this is the last line launched in Simferopol. It began to be used by route No. 3 Zagorodny - Balaklava market. After the closure of bus traffic in Simferopol, there was talk of building a line to the area of Marshal Zhukov Street, but it never came to that - only in 2013 trolleybus towers were installed on the streets of Elevatornaya and Heroes of Stalingrad, but eventually trolleybuses began to run on them. with autonomous progress.

In 2006, trolleybus park No. 2 was closed in Simferopol , and the Central Trolleybus Repair Shops moved to the place of the park; the old territory was sold for multi-storey buildings.

The year 2009 turned out to be especially difficult - Krymtrolleybus KRPRP was declared bankrupt and it was on the verge of closure; because of this, many routes have stopped working. The production of trolleybuses per line decreased significantly.

Only in 2010, a new page in history began for the Simferopol trolleybus. New Bogdan T70110 trolleybuses began to arrive, the route network revived. To improve the work in favor of trolleybuses, the majority of fixed-route taxis were removed from the center of Simferopol.

On April 25, 2014, intercity routes No. 54 and 55 from the Aeroflot settlement to Alushta and Yalta were restored. [1] . On September 1, 2014, two new Trolza-5265 Megapolis trolleybuses donated to St. Petersburg arrived in Simferopol trolleybus park. On October 5, 2014, tests of the Trolza-5265.00 Megapolis trolleybus with autonomous running in the area of ul. Heroes of Stalingrad, where the contact network never appeared. After the tests, a new route No. 15 Maryino - ul. Marshal Zhukov. [2] .

On February 26, 2017, new TrolZa-5265.03 Megapolis trolleybuses with increased autonomous running arrived in Simferopol.

On April 8, 2017, a new route with independent run No. 16 Maryino - AgroUniversity [3] opens, May 4 - also a route with independent run No. 17 Airport - Khoshkeldy. [4] .

On April 16, 2018, the movement of trolleybuses to the new Airport terminal (route No. 17) opens. In this section, trolleybuses use autonomous running. [5] At the same time, routes Nos. 9, 54 and 55 continued to run to the old terminal due to the apparent impossibility of covering the issue for them with only rolling stock with increased autonomous travel. Already on June 1, 2018, routes No. 54 and 55 were canceled.

Мастерские

Perspectives
