Efremov, Ivan Vladimirovich

Ivan Ivanovich Efremov (born March 9, 1986 ) is a weightlifter of Uzbekistan , honored athlete of the Republic of Uzbekistan (2018) [1] .

Career

At the 2005 World Junior Championship, in the under 105 kg category, Ivan showed the 11th result (143 kg + 182 kg = 325 kg).

In 2007 he graduated from the weightlifting department of the Republican College of Olympic Reserve.

At the 2007 World Cup, Efremov was 19th in the category of up to 94 kg (164 kg + 199 kg = 363 kg).

At the 2008 Asian Championship, with the result of 160 kg + 194 kg = 354 kg, Ivan became the fifth in the category of up to 94 kg.

At the 2009 Asian Championships, he lifted 172 kg in a snatch, the result in the clean and jerk (213 kg) was the best in his weight category (up to 105 kg). This allowed Ivan with a total of 385 kg to become a bronze medalist of the championship.

At the 2010 Asian Games, with the result of 182 kg + 218 kg = 400 kg, he won the Asian Games silver.

At the 2010 World Cup, Ivan Efremov was fifth in the under 105 kg category (181 kg + 221 kg = 402 kg).

At the 2011 World Cup, Ivan was 11th in the under 105 kg category with a total of 390 kg.

In 2012, Ivan participated in the 2012 Olympics , where with the result of 183 kg + 218 kg = 401 kg became the fifth.

At the 2014 Asian Games with the result, Ivan, speaking in the absolute category, was the sixth with a result of 414 kg.

At the 2015 Asian Championships, he won small gold in a jerk (193 kg), in the clean and jerk he was third (220 kg). This allowed Ivan to become the bronze medalist of the continental championship for the second time, this time in the absolute category.

At the 2015 World Cup, in competitions in the weight category up to 105 kg, he lifted 192 kg in a jerk and received a small “gold”. But in the clean and jerk Ivan, lifting 204 kg, could not cope with the rods of 215 and 216 kg. The result shown allowed Efremov to become only the eighth.

He won silver at the 2016 Asian Championships .
