History

The village Zarechye , consisting of 24 yards, is indicated on the map of the St. Petersburg province of F. F. Schubert in 1834 [2] .

ZARECHIE - the village belongs to the adjutant wing Colonel Prince Beloselsky-Belozersky, the number of inhabitants according to the audit: 77 m., 80 w. p [3] (1838)

The village Zarechye of 24 courtyards is marked on the map of Professor S. S. Kutorgi in 1852 [4] .

ZARECHIE - the village of Princes Beloselsky-Belozersky, on a country road, the number of yards - 19, the number of souls - 73 m. [5] (1856)

According to the map from the “Historical Atlas of the St. Petersburg Province” of 1863, the village of Velikoye Selo was to the east and adjacent [7] .

In the second half of the 19th century, a wooden chapel was erected in the village in the name of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker [8] .

In 1863, temporarily liable peasants of the village bought their land allotments from K. E. Beloselsky-Belozersky and became the owners of the land [9] .

In the XIX century, the village administratively belonged to the 2nd camp of the Luga district of St. Petersburg province, at the beginning of the XX century - to the Yugostitsky volost of the 5th zemsky section of the 4th camp.

According to the "Memorial Book of the St. Petersburg Province" for 1905, the village of Zarechye formed the Zarechsky rural society [10] .

From 1917 to 1923, the village of Zarechye was part of the Zaretsky village council of the Yugostitsky volost of the Luga district.

Since 1923, as part of the Peredolsky volost.

According to a topographic map of 1926, the village numbered 36 yards .

Since 1927, as part of the Luga region.

Since 1928, as part of the Velikoselsky Village Council. In 1928, the population of the village of Zarechye was 135 people [11] .

According to 1933, the village of Zarechye was part of the Veliky Selo Village Council of the Luga District [12] .

From August 1, 1941 to January 31, 1944, the village was under occupation.

Since 1965, as part of the Butkovsky Village Council. In 1965, the population of the village of Zarechye was 36 people [11] .

According to 1966, the village of Zarechye was also part of the Butkovsky village council [13] .

According to the data of 1973 and 1990, the village of Zarechye was part of the Skreblovsky village council [14] [15] .

In 1997, 11 people lived in the village of Zarechye of the Skreblovsky volost, in 2002 - 8 people (Russians - 87%) [16] [17] .

In 2007, 5 people lived in the village of Zarechye Skreblovsky SP [18] .

Geography

The village is located in the southern part of the district on the highway 41K-144 (highway "Pskov" - Nevezhitsa ).

The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 18 km [18] .

The distance to the nearest railway station Luga I is 22 km [13] .

The village is located on the left bank of the Kuksa River.
