Berwiller ( French Berrwiller ) is a commune in the northeast of France in the Grand Est region [1] (former Alsace - Champagne - Ardennes - Lorraine ), department of the Upper Rhine , Mulhouse district , canton of Wittenheim [2] . Until March 2015, the commune was administratively part of the abolished canton of Sulz-O-Ren ( Gebwiller County).

Economics
In 2010, out of 799 people of working age (from 15 to 64 years), 589 were economically active , 210 inactive (activity indicator 73.7%, in 1999 - 73.0%). Of the 589 active able-bodied residents, 563 people worked (299 men and 264 women), 26 were unemployed (10 men and 16 women). Among 210 able-bodied inactive citizens, 89 were pupils or students , 81 were pensioners , and another 40 were inactive due to other reasons [8] [9] .
