In a land of traps

Once on October, Oleg Kachalkin and Vasilisa Petrova met a good old wizard who was stuck in an elevator . Not believing that magic still exists, the girl asks the wizard for evidence. He, in turn, accepts the challenge and sends it to the magical land, but by mistake it turns out to be the Land of Traps , terrible and dangerous. But to return to Petrov, like any person, no wizard from there can do anything. If the girl herself does not find in the fairytale forest for 60 fabulous years, equal to sixty earth minutes , the Book of Wisdom, she can never return home. Then Oleg, having volunteered to help his classmate, with the help of a wizard, also goes to a fabulous country. The wizard himself, who remained in the room waiting for the children to return and watching their adventures on TV, was forced to periodically turn into Oleg or Vasilisa so that the adults would not reveal him and suspect that the children were missing.

On the way to searching the Book of Wisdom, guys in the Land of Traps at every step were waiting for some danger, temptation or trap that could lead them away from the right path or even make them lose their human appearance. But fear is not dominated by children. Valor and the magician’s wake-handed gift given by the wizard help them to firmly go to their assigned goal.

The animated film includes 4 episodes that were remounted into a single full-length cartoon in 1978. Both versions, original and remounted, are available to viewers. There is also a shortened television version shown on the Russian TV channel " Culture ". Series List:

The lyrics to the cartoon were written by the famous poet Igor Shaferan . By order of the Ministry of Culture of the USSR, the company “ Melody ” released songs from this cartoon on the disc, authored by Mikhail Ziv .
