Ust-Egita ( drill. Egetyn Adag ) is an ulus (village) in the Eravninsky district of Buryatia . The administrative center of the rural settlement "Ust-Egituyskoe" .

Geography

Located 4 km from the border with the Khorinsky district on the right bank of the Uda River , 2 km above the confluence of the Egita River ( Poperechnaya ), 70 km south-west of the district center, the village of Sosnovo-Ozerskoe , 6 km south of the interregional Roads P436 Ulan-Ude - Romanovka - Chita .

1.5 km south-east of the ulus is the automobile bridge over Uda.

History

Ulus was founded in 1930. Then the first school was built [3] .

Infrastructure

Secondary school, kindergarten, House of Culture, feldsher-midwife station, post office.

Culture

A song and dance ensemble “Ayalga” and the theater “Aya-ganga”, which received the title of “folk”, operate in the ulus.

Attractions

30 km north of Ust-Egita is Arshan "Marakt". Type of water - cold, bicarbonate, sulphate-calc. The source is popular for its therapeutic mud [3] .

Egitui datsan with the largest Buddha statue, located 20 km.

Famous People

  • Namzhil Shirabovich Nimbuev - Buryat poet, translator (1948-1971) [4] .
