Geography
It is located on the left bank of the Uda River (1.5 km above the confluence of the Uldurga River) at the border of the forest and steppe, 77 km south-west of the district center, the village of Sosnovo-Ozerskoye , at the administrative border with the Khorinsky district , passing here along the channel of Uda.

History
The village was founded in May 1962 as a logging station of the Khorinsky timber industry enterprise .
