Sagdat Kabirovich Sadykov ( kaz. Saғdat Қabіrұly Sadyқov ; July 29, 1973 , Ust-Kamenogorsk ) - Kazakhstan judoist of the light weight category, played for the national team of Kazakhstan in the late 1990s - mid 2000s (he also represented Kyrgyzstan at several tournaments). Participant of two summer Olympic Games, winner of the silver medal of the Asian Championship, bronze medalist of the East Asian Games in Osaka and the Central Asian Games in Dushanbe, winner of many tournaments of national and international importance.

Biography
Sagdat Sadykov was born on July 29, 1973 in the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk, East Kazakhstan Region, Kazakh SSR . He first made his name in the 1996 season, winning the lightweight bronze medal at the student world championships in Canada. A year later, he made his debut at the World Cup in Paris, a year later he performed at the World Cup in Moscow, where he was defeated by Russian Aslan Anayev at the 1/16 final stage.
Thanks to a series of successful performances, he was awarded the right to speak at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney , and represented the Kyrgyz national team here. In the first duel, he lost to Choi Young Sin of Korea, while in consolation meetings for third place he was defeated by American Jimmy Pedro , a bronze medalist at the previous Olympic Games [1] [2] .
After the Sydney Olympics, Sadykov returned to the judo team of Kazakhstan and continued to take part in major international tournaments. So, he achieved his first serious success at the adult international level in 2001, when he visited the East Asian Games in Japanese Osaka, from where he brought the bronze dignity award, won in the light weight category. In addition, as a student, this season he performed at the Summer Universiade in Beijing, where he took fifth place in his weight division.
In 2002, he became the fifth at the World Cup in Prague, won the tournament of Sanjar Dzhandosov in Alma-Ata and the memorial tournament of Magomed Parchiev in Nazran, took seventh place at the Asian Games in Korean Busan. The following season, he won the Kazakhstan championship in the light weight category and won a bronze medal at the Central Asian Games in Dushanbe. A year later, he received silver at the Asian home championship in Alma-Ata - he prevailed over all rivals in his tournament bracket except Korean Kim Jae-hoon [3] [4] .
Being one of the leaders of the Kazakhstan national team, he successfully qualified for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens - in the opening match he met the American Jimmy Pedro again and lost to him again - he eventually became the bronze medalist of the Olympic tournament. Soon after the end of these competitions, he decided to end the career of a professional athlete, losing his place in the national team to young Kazakh judokas [5] [6] .
