Alexander ( ancient Greek Ἀλέξανδρος ; II century BC) is the Macedonian prince, the last representative of the Antigonid dynasty.
Alexander was the son of Perseus, the king of Macedonia, and his wife Laodika , the daughter of Seleucus IV, Philopator [1] . After the defeat of Macedonia in the Third Macedonian War, he, along with other members of the royal house, was taken to Italy (168 BC). His father and brother Philip soon died in Alba Futsinskaya [2] , and Alexander received his freedom, learned the Latin language and became a scribe [3] .
