Geographical position
Nesterovo is located about 7 km south of the center of the village of Pitelino on the Ezhachka River.
History
The village of Kostina, Nesterova identity, on the river Ezhitskaya Podlesny camp of the Shatsky district is mentioned in 1580 [2] .
The estate was founded at the beginning of the 18th century by the landowner K.F. Ushakov . In the last quarter of a century, D.A. Ushakov and then his daughter A.D. Ushakova (1788-1877), who married Prince V.P. Volkonsky-the Elder (1788-1859). In the 1910s, the estate with the stud farm belonged to the college secretary, Prince V.I. Kudashev (g / p 1836).
Another estate in the village in the middle and second half of the 19th century was owned by Ensign N.I. Voeikov (1772-1866), then related to V.D. Voeykov. In the 1910s, their son, Privy Councilor S.V. Voeikov (1860-1937).
The abandoned two-story baroque church of Dmitry Solunsky from 1707-1744, built by K.F. Ushakov instead of the old wooden one, with a bell tower of the turn of the XVIII-XIX centuries in the style of classicism. Tombstones of Voeikov, Ushakov and Volkonsky princes next to her. The St. Nicholas Church of the beginning of the 19th century (the house church of the Volkonsky princes) in the classicism style is being restored. The pond and park, as well as the parish school of 1895, have been preserved. [3] .
In 1707, a two-story stone church was opened in Nesterovo in the name of Dmitry Solunsky with an aisle of the martyr Paraskeva. At the end of the 19th century, the village was the administrative center of the Nesterov volost of the Elatom district of the Tambov province . In 1911, the village had 298 yards with a population of 1909 people. There was a mixed one-class parish school [4] .

Transport and Communications
The village is located on the highway P124 (Kasimov - Shatsk ) and has regular bus service to the district center.
In the village of Nesterovo there is a rural post office of the same name (index 391621).
