Korzhenko, Pavel Evseevich

Born in 1911 in the village of Prosyanoe of the Russian Empire, now the Kharkiv region of Ukraine, in a peasant family.

He studied at night school, then worked in a tailoring workshop. In 1929 he began working at the Kharkov Locomotive Plant .

In 1930, Korzhenko was drafted into the Red Army and began his service at the Kamenetz-Podolsk border school. In 1932, he became deputy head of the outpost for political units, a year later he became the political advisor of the school for training service-searching dogs, then the head of the outpost. In 1933, he was the chief of staff of the commandant's office of the 19th frontier detachment, then the commandant in the 82nd and 93rd detachments. In April 1941, Pavel Yevseyevich entered the Higher Border School.

Member of the Great Patriotic War. In March 1942 he was appointed commander of the 728th regiment of the 175th rifle division . In 1944 he became the commander of the 2nd Border Regiment of the 1st Ukrainian Front. After the end of the war, in 1947, P.Ye. Korzhenko was transferred to Kiev by the commander of the Novorossiysk regiment of internal troops. Then he was appointed deputy commander of OMSDON . At the end of the Military Academy.
