Member of the Great Patriotic War, in the army since November 1941, graduated from the Tomsk Artillery School. In November 1943, he was demobilized due to injury.
He graduated with honors from the Moscow Mining Institute (now the Mining Institute of NUST “MISiS” ) (1949) and was left in graduate school at the Department of Open Mining.
After defending his Ph.D. thesis (1953), he worked at the All-Union Scientific Research Coal Institute (VUGI, then NSC GP-IGD named after A. A. Skochinsky ) in positions from junior research assistant to deputy director.
Doctor of technical sciences, professor.
Winner of the USSR State Prize (1984) - for the creation of walking excavators of large unit capacity and the introduction on their basis of transport-free systems for developing coal deposits in the eastern regions of the country.
Honored Worker of Science and Technology of the RSFSR .
The author of scientific research aimed at improving existing and creating new technologies and technical means of open cast mining.
He was awarded the orders of World War II 2nd (1944) and 1st (1985) degrees.
