Biography
The grandson of the millionaire bread merchant Matvey Emelyanovich Bashkirov . He graduated from the Leningrad Textile Institute (classmate A.N. Kosygin ). Worked there.
Designer of looms, the author of improvements to them.
During the war he survived the blockade of Leningrad .
Awards and Prizes
- Stalin Prize of the second degree (1947) - for the development of the original design of the knotter to eliminate the breakage of threads, widely introduced into the textile industry
