Source Sans Pro is a grotesque font family that belongs to the sans-serif font style created by Paul D. Hunt for Adobe Systems . This is Adobe's first open source headset, distributed under the SIL Open Font License . [1] [2]

The font design is inspired by Morris Fuller Benton's Gothic headset shapes from American Type Founders , such as News Gothic , Lightline Gothic and Franklin Gothic , modified with larger widths and heights, as well as the influence of the appearance of humanistic italics. [3] It is available in six sizes (regular, ultralight, light, bold, bold, black) in straight and italic styles. The font has wide language support for Latin , including Western and Eastern European languages, Cyrillic , Vietnamese, Romanization of Chinese Pinyin , and Navajo . [one]
