Smederevska-Palanka ( Serb. Smedereska Palanka ) is a city in Serbia in the Podunajsky district . The city is called the capital of Lower Yasenitsa [1] .

Content
Geography and transport
Smederevska-Palanka is located 80 km from the capital of Serbia. You can get into the city both by bus and by train. The railway station is called “Palanca” [2] . A train trip from Belgrade will take about two hours [3] . The first steam engine passed through the city on September 15, 1884. A few kilometers from the city runs the European highway E75 . Near the city there is a sports airfield "Rudine".
Population
The average age of the Smederevskaya-Palanka population is 39.3 years (37.8 for men and 40.7 for women). More than 95% of the population are Serbs ; representatives of other nationalities also live in the city, for example: Gypsies , Macedonians , Croats , Montenegrins and Albanians .
