Originally it was Princely Lane (or Prince's Lane ). On the plan of Pavlovsk at the beginning of the 20th century, it is designated as Princely Street [1] . The name appeared at the beginning of the 20th century, but its origin has not been established [2] . Most likely, it is connected with the dacha of Grand Duke Konstantin Konstantinovich , into whose park he led [3] (now the Aleksandrov Dacha park ).
Around 1918, the lane was renamed the Big Forest . The new name is connected with the fact that the lane led to the feral Annikovsky park. The park itself was cut down during the occupation during World War II. There was also Small Forest Lane - now Herzen Street .
Around 1952, the lane was renamed Nakhimson Street , in honor of the revolutionary S. M. Nakhimson [2] .
