Formation

The air forces of the 4th shock army began their formation on December 25, 1941 on the basis of giving the air units simultaneously with the formation of the 4th shock army as part of the reserve of the Supreme High Command based on the units and formations of the 27th army .

Disbandment

The Air Force of the 4th Shock Army on May 10, 1942, was disbanded in connection with the revision of the plans for Betting on the Use of Aviation in Combat Operations and with the concentration of aviation units and formations in the air armies, and the Air Force Command of the 4th Shock Army was turned to the formation of the 210th fighter aviation division .
