History
From 1923 to 1927, the Krasny Val holiday home was part of the Gostkinsky village council of the Peredolsky volost, Luga district.
According to the topographic map of 1926, the state farm Krasny Val was located on the site of a modern town.
Since August 1927, as part of the Luga region.
Since 1928, as part of the Butkovsky Village Council [2] .
In 1939, the population of the village of Krasny Val rest home was 1,061 people.
From August 1, 1941 to January 31, 1944, Krasny Val was under occupation .
In 1961, the population of the village of Krasny Val rest house was 300 people [2] .
According to the data of 1966, the town of Krasny Val was part of the Betkovsky Village Council [3] .
According to the data from 1973 and 1990, the Krasny Val sanatorium was part of the Skreblovsky Village Council [4] [5] .
According to 1997 data, 120 people lived in the town of the Sanatorium “Krasny Val” of the Skreblovskaya volost, in 2002 - 115 people (Russian - 88%) [6] [7] .
In 2007, 100 people lived in the village of Krasny Val Sanatorium of the Skreblovsky SP [8] .
Geography
The town is located in the southern part of the district on the 41K-684 highway (the Pskov - Cheremenets highway).
The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 6 km [8] .
The distance to the nearest railway station Luga I is 18 km [3] .
The town is located on the western bank of the Cheremenetsky lake , near the right bank of the river Bistrica , it is surrounded by an old park that turns into a mixed forest.
