Chong Hae Won (born July 1, 1959) is a South Korean footballer who plays forwards. Throughout his career, he played for Busan Ai Park .

Player Career
Club career
Chon began his career in 1978 with the Yonse University team. In 1983, he joined the Daewoo Royals Club (now Busan Ai Park). In the same year he became the vice-champion of South Korea , and the next year he won the championship . In 1986, he won the AFC Champions League with the club, and Saudi Al-Ahly Jeddah was defeated 3-1 in the final after extra-times. In addition, in the same year, Chun became the top scorer of the championship with ten goals. In 1987, Chon was recognized as the most valuable player in the K-League. In the same year, he again won the championship, and in 1991 he repeated this success, after which he ended his career.
Career in the national team
In the national team of South Korea Chong made his debut in 1980. On August 25, he scored his first goal against Indonesia (3-0) in the Presidential Cup. In the same year, he reached the Asian Cup final, where the team lost to Kuwait with a score of 3: 0. In the 1988 Asian Cup, his team lost the final again, this time to Saudi Arabia on penalties with a score of 3: 4. In 1988, he also took part in the Summer Olympics . In 1990, Chun with the national team went to the World Cup , where he played in matches against Spain (1: 3) and Uruguay (0: 1). South Korea flew out of the tournament after the group stage. In total, in 1980-1990, Chon played 58 matches for South Korea and scored 21 goals.
Career Coach
In 1994, Chon headed his former Busan Ai Park club for one season, and that year the team finished sixth in the championship. In 1999, Chon entered the coaching staff of Chonnam Dragons , and in 2003-2005, he led his own football academy. His last place of employment was Incheon United , where in 2008 Chon worked as a scout.
