Solomon Simovich (Semyon Semyonovich) Mangubi (February 6 ( 18 ), 1870 - January 25, 1924 , p. Serbsky Padey ) - Russian officer, colonel of the Skadovsky detachment of the 23rd Odessa Brigade of the Separate Border Guard Corps , a participant in the Civil War .

Biography

Born in a Karaite family of a hereditary honorary citizen . He entered the service in May 1890 as a private soldier . In 1894 he graduated from the 2nd category of the Odessa Infantry Junker School [1] and was assigned to the Estland 8th Infantry Regiment . In 1894 he was promoted to second lieutenant , and in 1898 - to lieutenant . In 1901, of his own free will, he was transferred to the 29th Baku Brigade of the Separate Border Guard Corps. In 1907 he was promoted to captain . From 1909 to 1917, he commanded the Skadov detachment of the 23rd Odessa brigade OKPS [2] . The last military rank is Colonel [3] .

During the Civil War he was in the ranks of the Armed Forces of the South of Russia and the Russian Army . In 1920 he was evacuated from the Crimea . He lived in Yugoslavia with his wife Maria Alexandrovna (1886 -?) [3]

He died on January 25, 1924 in the village of Serbian Padei of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia [3] [1] .
