Club career

Castro is a graduate of Defensor Sporting Club. On April 20, 2014, in the match against El Tanque Sisley , he debuted in the Uruguayan Example ^[1] . On May 18, Facundo scored his first goal for Defensor in a duel against the capital River Plate ^[2] .

International Career

In early 2015, Castro as a member of the Uruguay youth national team won the bronze medal at the home youth championship in South America . At the tournament he played in matches against teams of Venezuela ^[3] , Chile ^[4] , Peru ^[5] , Paraguay ^[6] , Argentina ^[7] , twice Colombia ^[8] ^[9] and Brazil ^[10] ^[11] .

In the summer of the same year, Facundo took part in the World Youth Championship in New Zealand . He played in the tournament against Serbia ^[12] , Mexico ^[13] , Mali ^[14] and Brazil ^[15] .

In 2015, Castro won the Pan American Games in Canada . He played in the tournament against Trinidad and Tobago ^[16] , Paraguay ^[17] , Brazil ^[18] and Mexico ^[19] .
