The forgotten mountain - the peak in the Caucasus , orographically refers to the Rocky Range on the northern slope of the Greater Caucasus system (the mountainous country is the Caucasus Mountains , the region is the North Caucasus ). It is located in the Seversky district of the Krasnodar Territory west of the village of Plancheskaya Shchel . It is characterized as a low mountain - altitude 612.4 m above sea level , but at the same time it is the highest point of the Rocky Range in the basins of the Afips and Shebsh rivers. In the orographic systematics of the period of the Russian Empire , it belonged to the so-called Black Mountains .
