Ammerzwiller ( French Ammerzwiller ) - abolished commune in the north-east of France in the region of Alsace - Champagne - Ardenne - Lorraine , department of the Upper Rhine , Altkirch district , canton of Mazvo ^[1] . Until March 2015, the commune was administratively part of the abolished canton of Dunmari ( Altkirsh County). It was abolished on January 1, 2016 and merged with the Bernville commune on the basis of Administrative Act No. 57 of December 24, 2015 ^[2] .

The area of the commune is 3.05 km², the population is 309 people ^[3] ^[4] (2006) with an upward trend: 404 people ^[5] (2012), the population density is 132.5 people / km².

Economics

In 2010, out of 248 people of working age (from 15 to 64 years), 188 were economically active , 60 inactive (activity indicator 75.8%, in 1999 - 74.8%). Out of 188 active able-bodied residents, 184 people worked (96 men and 88 women), 4 were registered as unemployed (three men and 1 woman). Among 60 able-bodied inactive citizens, 22 were pupils or students , 23 - pensioners , and another 15 - were inactive for other reasons ^[8] ^[9] .
