Biography

Born in 1893. He competed in both freestyle and Greco-Roman heavyweight wrestling.

In 1920, he participated in the Greco-Roman wrestling in the Antwerp Summer Games in Antwerp , performed in the heavyweight division and lost two of three meetings, dropped out of the tournament.

In 1924 he went to the Summer Olympic Games in Paris , performed in the heavy weight both in Greco-Roman wrestling and in freestyle and took fifth and fourth places respectively.

In 1925 he was third at the European Championship in Greco-Roman wrestling.

At the 1928 Summer Olympics in Antwerp, he fought in freestyle wrestling in the weight category of over 87 kilograms (heavy weight). At these games, a regulation was introduced, according to which the wrestler received penalties in fights. The athlete who scored 5 penalty points dropped out of the tournament.
