Judianna Makowski ( Engian . Judianna Makovsky ; August 24, 1967 [1] , New Jersey , USA ) is an American costume designer. Three times she was nominated for an Oscar for the best design of costumes in the paintings of Pleasantville , Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and Favorite [2] .

Career
Even in her youth Judyna Makowski participated in the children's choir of the Metropolitan Opera ballet, but already then she was more interested in what was going on behind the scenes of the show.
A graduate of the Chicago Institute of Arts and Yale Theater School . She worked as an assistant to the English theater artist Jane Greenwood , who was one of her teachers at Yale.
In the cinema since 1984, first as an assistant with costume designers: Milena Canonero in the films directed by Francis Ford Coppola " The Cotton Club" (1984), " Tucker: The Man and His Dream " (1988) and with Jeffrey Currland in the paintings of Woody Allen " Days of Radio " and " September " (1987). Then she made her debut as an independent costume designer in the films: " Gardens of Stones " (1987) and " Great " (1988).
In the late 1990s - early 2000s, she was nominated three times for the Oscar for best design of costumes in Pleasantville (1998), Favorite (2003), directed by Gary Ross and for the first Harry Potter film (2001 ) Chris Columbus .
She also created costumes for box-office films, such as X-Men: The Last Stand , The Hunger Games , The First Avenger: Another War , and others.
