Biography
Born in Palermo on October 20, 1967. Has four brothers. Following the family tradition, I decided to take up medicine in the specialty " psychiatry ". During his studies, he began performing with street actors in his hometown, where he was seen in 1989 by theater director Federico Tiezzi [2] . He offered him a small role in the production of Samuel Beckett's " Waiting for Godot ." The theater captured Luigi and he gave up medicine to become a professional actor. So, he moved to Rome , where in 1992 he graduated from the National Academy of Dramatic Art . In the theater he played in performances based on the works of Bertolt Brecht and Shakespeare . Then, in 2000 , on the recommendation of his uncle, actor Luigi Maria Burruano , met with director Marco Tullio Jordan and got the role of young left-wing activist and journalist Giuseppe Impastato in the film β One Hundred Steps β. The film received international recognition and in 2001 won the Golden Globe Award , and the actor himself the Italian national David Di Donatello Award for Best Actor. After several other movie roles, Luo Cacho receives in 2003 one of the most important roles in his life in Marco Tullio Jordan's film " The Best Years of Youth ." This seven-hour series was broadcast on the Italian Rai Uno channel from December 7 to 15, 2003. An interesting fact is that in the film he played a psychiatrist, whom he once studied in his youth.
In total, the actor starred in 26 films. He is a screenwriter and director of the film "Ideal City", presented in 2012 at the 69th Venice Film Festival as part of the program of independent and parallel films of the International Criticism Week .
Since July 2006, the actor has been married to Desideria Rainer (she is editing films) and has two sons, Tommaso Isidoro and Arturo Tito, married to her [3] . He currently resides in Rome .
