"33" ( Eng. The 33 ) - a film co-production of Chile and Colombia. Director - Patricia Riggen. The script of the film is based on the events that occurred during the accident at the San Jose mine in Chile, when 33 miners were walled up for two months (69 days).

Story
The owner of the San Jose mine ignores warnings about the deteriorating condition of the mine; after a while, the mine collapses. The only way out is blocked, but 33 miners manage to get to the rescue room. They find that the walkie-talkie is not working, and there is very little food. Mario Sepulveda becomes a leader among miners and takes responsibility for distributing food and maintaining order.
