Description
Small glitter wasps with a brown body. Body length 2 mm; the length of the front wings is 2.5 mm. The first flagellar segment (flagellomer I) is 2.2 times longer than its width, the second flagellar segment is 2.2 times, and the 11th flagellum segment is 3.6 times. The antennae are attached horizontally on the nose frontal protrusion. The head behind passes into a neck-like protrusion covered with bristles. Teguls are very large, cover the base of the wings. In the fore wings, there is no stigma, costal and subcostal veins. They have a pronounced sexual dimorphism : the antennae of males are thin and long, the metasome consists of 5 visible segments, and in females the antennae are wider and shorter, the abdomen is 4-segmented. Presumably, like other species of its kind, parasitoids use stick eggs ( Phasmatodea ) as hosts. The species was first described in 2012 by the American hymenopterologist Professor Lynn Kimsey ( Lynn S. Kimsey , Bohart Museum of Entomology , Department of Entomology, University of California , Davis , California , USA ) [1] .
