Club career
Faber is a graduate of the Danubio club. On February 23, 2014, in his match against Nacional , he made his debut in Uruguayan Example [2] . On April 26, in a duel against the capital's River Plate , Gaston scored his first goal for Danubio [3] . In his first season, Faber helped the club win the championship . In early 2016, Gaston on a rental basis moved to the capital's Racing , but never made his debut for the club. In early 2017, he was leased to the Italian Foggia . On May 7, in a match against Cosenza , he made his debut for a new club [4] . At the end of the season, Gaston helped Foggia reach Serie B. In the summer of the same year, Faber returned to Danubio.
In early 2018, Faber, as a free agent, moved to the Boston River . On March 31, in his match against Rumple Juniors , he made his debut for a new team [5] .
International Career
In 2013, Faber as part of the youth team of Uruguay took part in the junior championship of South America in Argentina . In the tournament, he played in matches against Peru [6] , Chile [7] , Argentina [8] , Paraguay [9] , Venezuela [10] and twice Brazil [11] [12] . In the same year, Gaston took part in the youth world championship in the UAE . In the tournament, he played in matches against the teams of Slovakia [13] , Nigeria [14] , New Zealand [15] , Cote d'Ivoire [16] and Italy [17] .
At the end of December 2012, Guillermo was included in the Uruguayan national team application for participation in the South American Youth Championship . In the tournament, he played in matches against Peru [18] , Venezuela [19] , Colombia [20] , Chile [21] , Paraguay [22] and twice Ecuador [23] [24] .
In early 2015, Faber, as part of the Uruguayan youth team, took part in the home youth championship of South America . In the tournament, he played in matches against the teams of Chile [25] , Venezuela [26] and Brazil [27] . In a duel against the Chileans, Gaston scored a goal and helped the youth national team win bronze medals.
In 2015, Faber won the Pan American Games in Canada . In the tournament, he played in matches against Paraguay [28] , Brazil [29] and Mexico [30] .
