Biography

As a child, he played hockey with the ball , in the youth team of Dynamo Moscow. The team-mates were the well-known hockey players Yuri Tarasov and Boris Kulagin in the future. In 1944, he became a player in the Moscow Krylya Sovetov, simultaneously playing both hockey (in the position of right-handed attacker) and football (in the position of defender). In 1946, at the invitation of Anatoly Tarasov, he became a player in the Moscow hockey club “ Air Force MVO ”, continuing to participate in competitions in two sports. Speaking in the top three with such hockey players as Vsevolod Bobrov and Viktor Shuvalov , in 1950 and 1951 he became the USSR champion in ice hockey. At the same time, in the top league of the USSR Football Championship, he played for the Moscow teams “ Labor Reserves ” and “ BBC ”

After finishing his career as a hockey player, he focused on football. In 1953 he became a player in the Moscow Torpedo , in the same year he won the bronze medal of the USSR championship . After spending another 2 seasons for Avtozavodtsev, in 1956, at the invitation of former teammate Nikolai Morozov, he moved to Metallurg Dnipropetrovsk, who was in class B at that time. He defended the colors of Metallurg for 2 years, after which he played the season for Kadievsky Shakhtar . For some time he played in Tbilisi “ ODO ”, after which he completed the performances

Coaching career

In 1961, he worked as a coach in Krivoy Rog Avangard , and the following year - in Kaliningrad Baltika . Then he coached Ternopil Avangard , in particular in the years 1965-1966 - as the head coach. Then in 1967 he became the coach of the Dnipropetrovsk " Dnipro ", and the following year he was appointed the senior coach of the Kirovograd " Stars ". After working in Kirovograd for a year, in 1969 he returned to Dnepr, to the position of coach at Valery Lobanovsky’s headquarters, and later as the head of the team. In 1971, after the release of "Dnipro" in the highest league of the USSR championship, he received the title of Honored Coach of the USSR . Then he worked as a coach in Simferopol " Tavria ", Zaporozhye " Metallurg " and Nikopol " Kolose ", and also as head coach in Lipetsk " Metallurg ", Novomoskovsk " Khimik " and Sumy " Frunzents "
