Oberziring (judicial district)

The judicial district of Oberziring ( German: Gerichtsbezirk Oberzeiring ) is a former judicial district and, at the same time, a former tax district (tax office) [1] in Austria , in the federal state of Styria .

The judicial district of Oberziring included territorial jurisdiction in the district court of Oberziring and was subordinate to the higher state court of competent jurisdiction of the federal state of Styria - the land court in Leoben [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] . It covered the northern part of the political district of Judenburg (now the political district of Murtal ) and in 1976, as a result of the reorganization, it was liquidated with the accession to the judicial district of Judenburg .

According to the "Styria Geographic Directory (part 2), 2015.08.31" [3] the population of the former judicial district in the old and new borders (census data for 1772-2011 and current count at the end of the year are given) was as follows A) : ". .. 1772: * 5500 E, 1782: 828-5740, 1812: 877-4751, 1837: 856-5082, 1846: 5135, 1851: 5464, 1869: 979-6016, 1880: 5947, 1890: 5850, 1900: 6001, 1910: 5999, 1923: 5764, 1934: 6251, 1939: 6301, 1951: 931-6312, 1961: 1080-6307, 1971: 1263-5939, 1981: 1341-5426, 1991: 1502-5214, 2001: 1726-4967, 2011: 1809-4459, 2012: 4403, 2013: 4381 (alte Abgrenzung). - 2011: 1581-3748, 2012: 3708, 2013: 3687, 2014: 3655 (neue Abgrenzung).

History

As a result of the 1848 revolution in the Austrian Empire, which was directed primarily against monarchist absolutism , one of the directions was also the creation of new administrative bodies, including judicial districts.

Decision to create a judicial district

In 1849, the decision of the State Judicial Commission on the creation of the Oberziring District ( German Gerichtsbezirk Oberzeiring ) was made public . [1] The county initially included seven communities (parishes): Brettstein , Hohenthauern , Oberkurzheim , Oberzeiring , Oswald , Pusterwald and St. Johann . [one]

According to the 1846 census, the okrug was 49,719.05 ha [1] [9] [10] , and the population was 5,135. [1] The population density is 10.33 people / km 2 ; land supply including inland waters - 96 824 m 2 / person.

The formation of the judicial district

The judicial district of Oberziring (the territory of the district is 8.6 Austrian sq. Miles [10] , the population as of 10/ 31/1857— 5,942 people) [14] was formed in 1868 when the political and judicial powers were divided [15] and together with the judicial Knittelfeld , Obdach and Judenburg constituencies became part of the political district of Judenburg . [14]

Change in population in the judicial district in 1772-2011 according to tax, local, military, parish, court (1772-1863 gg.) and national (including trial and registration) censuses for 1869-2011. [16] [17]

By 1880, the political communities of Oswald and St. Johann were renamed respectively St. Oswald and St. Johann am Tauern [18] . In the period 1881-1889gg. The Brettstein community was renamed Bretstein [18] [19] .

Post-war period

After World War I, the judicial district of Obdach was annexed to the judicial district of Judenburg ( political district of Judenburg ) on June 1, 1923. Then, in 1946, the number of judicial districts again decreased in the political district of Judenburg due to the separation of the Knittelfeld judicial district from its composition, with its transformation into an independent political district . [24]

Since the time of the Second World War, only one of the seven political communities that were originally part of it was renamed in the judicial district of Oberziring .

In 1976, the federal government issued a decree deciding to dissolve the Oberziring judicial district (code number 6082) and the jurisdiction of the Judenburg judicial district (code number 6081) from October 1, 1976 fully applies to the entire former political district of Judenburg . [26]

Composition of the judicial district

The district court at the time of its liquidation consisted of seven political communities: Bretstein , Oberkurzheim , Obertsayring , Pusterwald , St. Johann am Tauern , St. Oswald-Möderbrugg and Hoentauern (see table. 4) and ten cadastral communities (see table. . five). [27]

Current situation

This section covers the period from October 1, 1976 to the present.

Community Reorganization

Since the liquidation of the Oberziring judicial district in the territory subject to its former jurisdiction, only three full-fledged political communities out of the seven that were originally part of it remained. The reorganization in the abolished judicial district of Obertsairing , which became part of the judicial district of Judenburg , for the period from October 1, 1976, was as follows:

  • re-registration of political communities associated with the merger of the political districts of Knittelfeld and Judenburg into the political district of Murtal (see table 6);
  • the abolition, merger and association of political communities (see table. 7).

Rename

During the period since the liquidation of the judicial district of Obertsairing, the political communities that were originally part of it were not renamed.

Conversion

During this period, no transformations of political communities from one species to another with a change of status in the territory of the former judicial district of Oberziring were noted.

Isolation (Separation, Separation, and Separation)

The division (splitting) of the existing political communities of the former judicial district of Obertsiring into smaller ones, as well as the separation of the previously united among themselves that were part of the original composition of this judicial district, did not occur during this period.

Re-registration

Upon the merger of the political districts of Knittelfeld and Judenburg on January 1, 2012 into the newly formed political district of Murtal , new identification codes were assigned to political communities [28] [31] :

Liquidation, Abolition, Merger and Merger

One abolition and one merger of political communities took place from October 1, 1976 to January 1, 2015 in the territory of the abolished judicial district of Obertsairing , which is under the full jurisdiction of the judicial district of Judenburg (Table 7).

Legend to table 7:

  • Liquidation (highlighted in pink # FFC0CB) is the reorganization (transfer with association) of political communities with reassignment to another political district (federal state).
  • The abolition (highlighted by "dark peach color" # FFDAB9) is the reorganization (transfer with association) of political communities with reassignment to another judicial district.
  • The merger (highlighted in "pink-lavender color" # FFF0F5) is an association of political communities with the assignment of a common new (impersonal) name.
  • An association (highlighted with the color “papaya escape” # FFEFD5) is the joining of one or several political communities to a political community that retains its personal name (name) for all affiliated communities.

Territorial jurisdiction

From January 1, 2012, in accordance with the administrative reform in Styria, the political districts of Knittelfeld and Judenburg were merged into a single political district of Murtal [32] . According to the results of this reform , the Knittelfeld judicial district (code number 6091, from 01.01.2012 - 6202) , which geographically coincided with the Knittelfeld political district , from July 1, 2013 became part of the judicial district of Judenburg (code number 6201) , whose jurisdiction fully extended to the entire political district of Murtal .
