Biography
Born on July 29, 1937, in the working village of Voznesenye, Podporozhsky district of the Leningrad region, in the family of a doctor of the medical service major, a war veteran, a holder of the Order of the Red Star - Boris Petrovich Flegontov (died 1946) and Alexandra Vladimirovna Voloshinoy (died 1949).
He graduated from high school with a silver medal, then in 1961 the Moscow Aviation Institute .
From 1961 to the last days he worked at the Yaroslavl Radio Factory . He passed all the posts: Laboratory Engineer No. 1 OKB, Senior Engineer, Deputy Chief Engineer, Chief Engineer (1997–2003), Technical Director, Director for New Products Introduction and Quality [1] .
He supervised the development of the production of airborne repeaters and other special equipment for communications satellites, search and rescue facilities of the international COSPAS-SARSAT system , the main units and elements of radar stations.
In 1986 , for participation in the creation of a satellite command and control system, he was awarded the USSR State Prize .
Awards and titles
He was awarded the Order of Honor (2015) [2] , the medal "For Labor Valor" (1977), the sign "Honorary Radio Operator of the USSR" (1987), the medal named after Yuri Gagarin, as well as regional awards: the medal "For Labor for the Good of the Land of Yaroslavl" II Degrees [3] and "Honorary Badge of the City of Yaroslavl" III degree.
