Dictionary of Antiquity

The Dictionary of Antiquity ( German: Lexikon der Antike ) is a short encyclopedic dictionary dedicated to the culture and history of ancient society . Prepared by the Leipzig Bibliographic Institute , there were more than a hundred specialists in the team of authors. The first edition came out in 1971.

Translations

  • In 1989, the Progress Publishing House published a Russian translation from the ninth German edition (1987), rep. ed. V.I. Kuzishchin .
  • In 1983, a translation into Estonian was also published in the USSR.
