Kivimetsän Druidi is a Finnish folk / symphonic metal band from the city of Kouvola . Literally, the name of the group translates as "Druid of the stone forest." [one]

History
The group was founded by the brothers Antti and Yoni Koskinen in 2002. They self-released several mini-albums and demos before signing a contract with Century Media Records in 2008. In October of the same year, the debut album of the group Shadowheart was released, the lyrics of which are based on the novel by Yoni Koskninen The Land of the Crystal Mountain and Stone Forest . [1] The album was recorded with the new vocalist Leena-Maria Hovila (formerly in the band Exsecratus ). In November / December, Kivimetsän Druidi went on a European tour, along with the groups Korpiklaani , Battlelore and Falchion . [2]
