History
The city was founded during the Manchu Qing Dynasty (1875) and was called Quaidanbe (快当 别).
The city is located on the shores of Lake Khanka [1] and 36 km from the city of Mishan . Known in China for its beach on the lake [2] , nicknamed "Eastern Hawaii."

The city has a museum "Great Northern Wasteland" [3] , which contains vases, prints and paintings of Heilongjiang art schools [4] .
"Great northern wasteland" called the plain in Heilongjiang. Later it became the figurative name of the entire province. Due to the nature of local soils in the vicinity of the city of Danbizhen in China, this area is often called the Black Earth.
