3rd strike aviation group

3rd strike aviation group - an operational aviation group in the Great Patriotic War , created to solve operational (operational-tactical) tasks independently and as a part of fronts in cooperation with troops (forces) and means of other types of armed forces (military branches (forces)) in operations of the ground forces and naval forces.

Create Group

The 3rd strike aviation group was formed on March 19, 1942 on the basis of the Order of the SC Air Force Civil Code of March 16, 1942.

Reorganizing a group

3rd strike group On June 1, 1942, by order of the NPO, it was turned to form the 244th bomber aviation division.
