Biography

Fedor Dmitrievich Navozov was born on June 19, 1910 in the village of Elshanka in the Saratov province . From the age of sixteen he worked in the agricultural artel [1] . Later he became the secretary of the Komsomol Volost Committee, and later - the secretary, the first secretary of the Krasnokholmsky district committee of the CPSU (b) of the Orenburg (Chkalov) region (1937-1939) [1] [2] . In 1939 he was transferred to work in Sverdlovsk , took the post of second secretary of the Sverdlovsk Regional Committee of the CPSU (b) [1] .

At the Xth Plenum of the Mari Regional Committee of the CPSU (b) on April 30, 1942, Navozov was elected First Secretary of the Regional Committee. He was relieved of his post on the basis of a decision of the Plenum of the Mari Regional Committee of the CPSU (b) in July 1945 [2] .

From 1945 he was the first secretary of the Pugachev district committee of the CPSU (b) in the Saratov region, then the head of the political department, the department of educational institutions of the Pechora railway (Kotlas, Arkhangelsk region, 1949-1959) [2] .

From 1959 he lived in Smolensk , worked as a head of educational institutions of the Kalinin railway . In 1963 he occupied the post of deputy head of the ideological department of the Smolensk rural regional committee of the CPSU. After the liquidation of the agricultural regional committee, he became a member of the party committee of the Smolensk regional committee of the CPSU [1] [2] . In 1966 - 1977 he held the post of authorized Council for Religious Affairs under the Council of Ministers of the USSR in the Smolensk region [1] .

Died August 18, 1986 , buried in the New Smolensk cemetery [1] .
