Biography

Childhood and career start

She was born in a large family, at 5 years old she was orphaned. She graduated from the Frunze Pedagogical College , while studying she worked as a broadcaster at a radio station. Then for several years she was engaged in pedagogical activity. In 1941 she became the head of the personnel department of the People’s Commissariat of the food industry. In 1949, she became head of the female department of the Frunze city committee of the Communist Party (b) of the Kyrgyz SSR , and in 1959 she graduated with honors from the All-Union Correspondence Financial and Economic Institute , after which in 1961 she was appointed deputy chairman of the Council of Ministers of the native republic [1] .

Diplomatic activities

Since the early 1960s, S. Begmatova traveled a lot around the world, showing the equal status of women in the Soviet Central Asian republics . She visited the GDR , India , Syria and several other countries. She participated in the opening of expositions of the Kyrgyz SSR at international exhibitions - for example, at EXPO-67 in Montreal [2] . In addition, she participated in the work of the UN in 1964, and in 1969 she led the Soviet delegation in one of the committees at the XXIV Session of the UN General Assembly [3] .

Begmatova was a deputy of the Council of Nationalities of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of the 6th convocation (1962-1966) from the Kyrgyz SSR [4] .

Doom

She died in a car accident on June 28, 1981 [1] .
