Biography
Herod Aliyeva was born on December 17, 1929 in Tashkent.
She graduated from the Tashkent Theater and Art Institute named after A.N. Ostrovsky . Since 1951, she worked at the under the direction of People's Artist of the USSR Sarah Ishanturaeva . The first notable role of Aliyeva was the image of Olga Ulyanova in the play by I. Popov “Family” [1] .
Other roles include Nasiba (directed by Abdullah Kahhar ’s comedy, Sick Teeth), Mukaddas ( Adil Yakubov ’s True Love), Shirin ( Nazim Hikmet ’s Legend of Love), Maryam ( Muhammad Dib ’s Algeria - My Country) and others. In the 1960s and 1970s, she became one of the influential actresses of the Uzbek theater; plays the role of Asal in the play "Lonely Beauty" by Chingiz Aitmatov, Nazokat in the production of "Parvona" by Uygun . The images created by Aliyeva were characterized by an understanding of the author’s idea, intellectual depth, beauty and brightness, while preserving at the same time warmth, friendliness and charm. In 1967, she was awarded the honorary title of People's Artist of the Uzbek SSR [1] .
Since the 1970s, she also played roles in the cinema, mainly the Uzbekfilm studio; in particular, she is known outside the republic for the role of the witch Almauz-Kampyr in the children's films Akmal, the Dragon and the Princess (1981) and New Adventures of Akmal (1983), starred in episodes of the films Once Upon a Time (1974), Pirates of the 20th Century "(1979)," Youth of a genius "(1982).
